York's city centre location puts you within easy reach of the Minster, independent shops and restaurants. Lily Green Retreats – Arthur Bear occupies ground level on the owner's grounds, a private base for two people exploring the area on foot or by car.

The layout flows from kitchen through to a separate living room and then to the bedroom and bathroom, all on one level. The kitchen has a full cooker, microwave, air fryer and dishwasher for self-catering. A wood burner warms the living space on cooler days (initial fuel is supplied; extra logs cost extra). The bedroom holds a king bed. The bathroom combines a bath with a shower over it and a heated towel rail. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included in the price.

Outside, a front garden with seating and furniture lets you take breakfast or an evening drink in the open air. There's parking for one car on site and a bike store if you're arriving by bicycle. One well-behaved pet stays free. No smoking inside the property.
