Families and larger groups will find Mortar Barn works well as a base for a North Yorkshire break. The converted barn holds four bedrooms across two floors—a double and two singles downstairs, plus a kingsize and another pair of singles upstairs—with three bathrooms between them, so there is space to spread out. One dog stays free. The whole place is yours alone, with parking on site and an enclosed garden where children can play safely; there is a patio and barbecue for outdoor meals.
Inside, the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking proper food rather than holiday shortcuts. Electricity, bed linen and towels are covered in the rate. There is a wood burner for cooler evenings, and initial logs are provided. A washing machine and tumble dryer are available in the boiler room. No smoking throughout.
Whitby lies just a few miles away, offering a seaside town atmosphere, sandy beaches, harbour walks and the ruined abbey. Closer at hand, Sneaton village has a pub, tea rooms and an ice cream parlour, while bridle paths and walking routes lead straight from the property into the surrounding countryside and towards the North Yorkshire Moors. The area suits both quiet retreats and active exploration.
