This is a special place. The family that run the site are lovely, hospitable, great people who genuinely care about everything they do. It’s evident in the campsite/ ice cream parlour and in all interactions with each member of their family and team. There is always a friendly welcoming smile. We camped here for 7 days and most of our interaction was with Andrew and his partner who runs the ice cream parlour/ cafe. They were both wonderful, kind, caring and hardworking people. It was evident in everything they did and we always enjoyed meeting them throughout the day. We couldn’t fault anything about our time at Beacon Farm and we really look forward to returning in the future. The space you get for the electric hookup camping area was incredible so anyone who has a very, very big tent like us should not fear coming. Also, the grounds were immaculate, no dog or bird poo on the grass that meant we could walk everywhere barefooted and that’s fairly unique in our experience of campsites. In summary this is an amazing place mainly beacause of the people who work and run the site - they make everything perfect.

We stayed on the campsite for two nights on an electric grass pitch. On arrival I was meet by a very friendly chap who escorted us to a beautiful pitch, very large with views of the sea an Whitby. Once we had sorted the camper we tried the campsite ice cream which was fantastic! We had two great days cycling in the local area, enhanced by the great weather. Then to top it off we finished with a great meal at the local pub about 200 yards away. If Carlsberg did campsites!! Great place, great people we will be back. Thank you Dale and Mandy

We have just come back from a 2 night stay on the campsite, wow absolutely amazing! The site was well kept and clean, the shower and toilet facilities were always clean. The site was amazing we took our 2 year old which he loved the play park and the goats and loved playing on the green space. Amazing location a 10 minute drive to the centre of Whitby. Unfortunately our toddler wasn't feeling great so we had to come back a day sooner but cant wait to return again we will definitely be back!

First time camping at Bracon Farm and we loved it. Its a great site for families, our little one loved the park, nature trail and being so close to the amazing ice cream!! The pitches are well spaced in the electric pitch area and we liked that our little one could play on the open space outside of the tent safely. Whitby is a 10min drive away which is handy and the on site cafe has some great breakfast and lunch options- plus of course the best ice cream! It would be great if there was a teatime/evening food offering one or a couple of nights a week too! The facilities are basic but have everything you need and are kept nice and clean. Overall a great stay 😊
