You arrive on the ground floor into an open-plan living and dining space with a woodburner, then find the kitchen tucked to one side with a full range of appliances for self-catering. Upstairs are two bedrooms—one with a double bed and television, the other with two singles and a z-bed—each with its own shower room. The essentials are covered: heating, electricity, linen, towels and wifi are all included. One well-behaved dog stays free.
The cottage sits in a courtyard with three other holiday properties, each independent with its own front door. Outside there is an enclosed lawn with garden furniture and a barbecue, plus parking for two cars and a bike store. You are between the villages of Aislaby and Egton, with a footpath leading to Grosmont and the North York Moors Steam Railway. Whitby is easily reached for the coast, and the surrounding villages of the National Park—Goathland among them—offer plenty to explore without straying far. The property does not permit smoking.

Wow. Just stunning location! Quiet and peaceful. We stayed for 3 nights and the cottage was gorgeous. Just what we were after for a few days away. Our dog loved it too. Worn out walking every day in beautiful locations nearby.

Just had a 3 night break at Granary cottage with my 2 dogs, this clean and comfortable cottage had fantastic views. If you're looking for a country break with walks on your door step, this is the place for you. Great to watch the horses, chickens and local wildlife.

Stayed in Acorn cottage one of four on this farm. It was well laid out, sleeps 4 in two double bed rooms both en suite. Clean and very cosy due to underfloor heating . Well appointed but lacking a dishwasher which is unusual in this price range . Lovely countryside all around,but access down narrow lanes. Near Whitby, Staithes, Robin Hoods Bay and North Yorkshire National Park . Hosts friendly and helpful.
