Pear Tree Farm Cottages - No. 2 The Stables
North Yorkshire
Ebberston sits on the fringe of the North Yorkshire Moors, a village location that puts you within striking distance of Pickering's steam railway and castle to the south, the coastal towns of Filey and Whitby to the east, and Dalby Forest's woodland walks to the north. The cottage itself is a converted stable, thoroughly modernised with everything on the ground floor: open-plan living space with a dining area and kitchen equipped for proper cooking, two bedrooms (one double, one with two singles), and a shower room.
What you get is a four-person holiday base with heating, electricity, bed linen and towels all provided. The kitchen has an electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. There's a small lawned garden with furniture, dedicated parking for one car, and a tumble dryer in the shared utility room. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed. Dogs are welcome. Smoking is not permitted inside.
The village pub is less than a mile away, and a shop about the same distance. York's medieval minster is roughly 45 minutes' drive if you want a day out to the historic city. For families, Dalby Forest offers adventure play areas and picnic spots alongside its walks.
