Poppy Cottage is a traditional stone cottage on a quiet lane in Hebden, a small village within the Yorkshire Dales. The building has real character: a wood burner sits at the heart of the downstairs living room, and the cottage is furnished throughout in a comfortable, unpretentious style. Two bedrooms sleep four—a kingsize and a twin—served by a single shower room. The kitchen has everything needed for self-catering, including a dishwasher and washing machine, and essentials like linen, towels and electricity are covered.
Outside, there are two sitting areas with garden furniture; one is tucked beside the cottage, the other lies 50 yards along the lane with a BBQ. A bike store and dedicated parking are on site. A pub is within a mile, and The Old School Tea Room in the village serves home-made meals and cakes. Walks start from the doorstep—easy routes follow the river path to Grassington, Burnsall and Linton, or head into the hills for something more demanding. Cyclists and horse riders have good terrain nearby. Grassington, with its shops, cafés and restaurants, is under 2 miles away. The cottage does not permit smoking.
