Rose Cottage 1
North Yorkshire
Rose Cottage 1 works well for families or small groups wanting a proper base near the coast. The cottage has two bedrooms sleeping four—a double and two singles—with one bathroom and a shared utility room where you can use the washing machine and tumble dryer. Downstairs is an open-plan living space with a kitchen area for cooking, a dining area and a sitting room with Freeview TV and DVD player. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are covered, and there's a cot and highchair available if needed.
The large garden is the real draw, especially for families with children or anyone travelling with a dog, which stays free. You get garden furniture and can request use of the barbecue. Two cars can park on site. The cottage sits in the hamlet of Sneaton, adjacent to the owner's home, with a shop just 100 yards away and a food pub at 150 yards. Whitby is close by—a working port with beaches, the ruined abbey, and streets full of cafes, shops and pubs. Robin Hood's Bay is nearby for walkers and cyclists, and the North York Moors National Park and Heritage Coast are accessible for day trips. The beach is about three miles away. No smoking in the property.
