Stables Retreats - Shire Cottage

Shire Cottage is a stone-built cottage in Pateley Bridge, tucked into a quiet courtyard just off the High Street. Two bedrooms and a bathroom are spread across two floors, with a ground-floor living space that opens into the kitchen and dining area. One bedroom has a double bed; the other has a bunk arrangement with a double on the bottom and single above. The bathroom has a shower over the bath. Electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included, and you have the whole place to yourself.

The kitchen comes fully equipped for cooking—electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and washing machine are all there. The living room has a Freeview Smart TV for quieter evenings. One dog stays free of charge. The cottage is no-smoking throughout.

Pateley Bridge itself sits at the edge of Nidderdale and the Yorkshire Dales, with walking and cycling routes spreading into the surrounding countryside. The High Street is 250 yards away, where you'll find pubs and restaurants within easy reach. Ripon cathedral city lies 11 miles distant if you want a day trip further afield.
