The First Port of Call is a ground-floor apartment in Whitby, a short walk from the beach. Everything you need for self-catering is provided: a kitchen with electric oven, hob and microwave; a washing machine; bed linen and towels; heating and electricity; and Wi-Fi throughout. Parking for one car is available on road.

The single bedroom contains a double bed. The living and dining area has high ceilings and bay windows, a sofa bed for flexible sleeping, and a dining table positioned by the window. The kitchen opens directly onto a patio garden with seating. A shower room completes the layout. The apartment is furnished to a standard above typical holiday lets, with particular attention to comfort and finish.

Whitby itself draws visitors repeatedly—the beach is within easy reach, and the town's maritime heritage runs through its museums and the medieval abbey. Smoking is not permitted inside.

We have just spent 3 nights at the First Port Of Call. This is our 2nd visit to this fab little apartment. The apartment was spotlessly clean , cosy warm and all trimmed up for Christmas. It’s ideally located 10 mins out of Whitby centre. Lovely and peaceful. You can easily get about once you’ve parked up. The train station and bus station are just a 10/15 min walk . You can easily catch the X4 Middlesbrough bus to Sandsend, Runswick Bay and further afield Saltburn By The Sea. The train takes you to Grosmont , Goathland and Pickering. Lots of places to eat in Whitby and great little individual shops. Would definitely recommend a stay at First Port Of Call when visiting Whitby.

Just spent 2 nights here with husband. It had everything you needed and a well equipped kitchen. Very clean, decorated for Christmas so very cosy as it snowed while there. Heating very good nice and warm. Even messaged us to stay extra night if snow caused us a problem getting home. Thank You will be back.

I recently stayed at First port of call in Whitby and was really impressed. The room was spotlessly clean, which made for a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Everything felt fresh and well-maintained.

This is the second time visiting The First Port of Call. We love it, perfect place to stay. Very homely, everything you need is there. It’s a cosy home from home apartment. Location is perfect, close enough to all local amenities but far enough away for a quiet peaceful break. Thank you for having us, we will back again.
