The Mews

The Mews is a self-contained first-floor apartment in North Yorkshire, a mile and a half from Masham. It sleeps four across two bedrooms—one with a king bed and en-suite, the other with two singles sharing a jack-and-jill bathroom. The living room has a woodburner (fuel included), and the kitchen is properly equipped with an electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge and microwave. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all covered, so you arrive to a ready home.

The property adjoins the owner's house in a courtyard setting, with access to one-and-a-half acres of grounds: walled gardens, an orchard, lawns suitable for croquet or table tennis, a summerhouse and a small woodland area. Private parking is available for two cars, and an enclosed patio provides outdoor space. There is an unfenced pond within the grounds.

Masham itself has country shops, pubs and tea rooms; the Black Sheep Brewery runs tours nearby. The surrounding area suits walkers, cyclists and drivers exploring Wensleydale. Ripon is nine-and-a-half miles away with its market and racecourse; Lightwater Valley theme park is seven miles distant. York, with its shops and restaurants, lies 37 miles south. No smoking is permitted inside.
