The Hideaway

We loved spending a few days in this gorgeous cottage. It was very relaxing, fully-equipped, and super comfortable to boot! The local area is wonderful to explore, with rolling countryside and the beautiful Swinton Estate. And venturing out to Studley Royal Gardens and Fountains Abbey Ruins was a highlight, as was Saltburn-on-sea. Just fabulous! Thanks so much!

What a beautiful cottage this is. Every luxury is catered and attention to detail in the cottage ensured a perfect stay both for us and our treasured pooches. The cottage is within a short drive of many beautiful parts of Yorkshire we visited the stunning beach of Saltburn as well as Masham and Bedale which boast many pubs and quaint shops to tempt. We will definitely be back to take advantage of our wonderful hosts Trudi and Mark again. Thanks guys and a big wuff from Jasper and Bleu

This is our 3rd visit to this beautiful cottage and we loved it just as much this time. The cottage is well stocked with everything you’ll need and the wonderful owners provided a thoughtful welcome pack of lovely treats for both humans and dogs. The area is perfect for walks and pub lunches, cafe stops and shopping. We visited Fountains Abbey ( National Trust) and also spent an afternoon at Aysgarth Falls which is lovely. On Sunday we did a riverside circular walk around Masham before having a delicious roast in the fabulous Black Sheep Brewery. There are so many nice places to eat and drink close by and we’d recommend Johnny Baghdad’s cafe, & Harry’s fish & Chips. It’s always so nice to return to the cottage after being out in the cold as it’s so comfortable and cosy, especially with the log burner fire up ! 🥰 Thanks again to the owners who have thought of everything to make guests comfortable !

What a hidden gem Hideaway Cottage is! On first entering the cottage on a cold afternoon we were impressed by the warm, cosy feel of the cottage and delighted to see the welcome treats that had been left for us … a bottle of wine, bread, biscuits, chocolates, tea, coffee and milk. The log burner was ready just to light and there was plenty of logs and coal for several fires. The cottage is so comfortable with everything you need to be super cosy. Nothing has been forgotten in creating a wonderful ‘get away from it all and relax’ holiday by Trudi and Mark. I can highly recommend this cottage as first class and am looking forward to returning in the summer months when we can enjoy spending time in the beautiful garden and fabulous summer house. Thanks so much Mark and Trudi…. you’ve created a real haven that many people will get much enjoyment from.
