The Owls Hollow

Bishop Thornton sits between Harrogate and the rolling countryside of North Yorkshire, quiet enough for a proper retreat but close enough to town if you want shops, restaurants or a day out. The Owls Hollow is a safari tent on a small site, a different kind of holiday base that gives you the freedom of a whole property to yourself. Two bedrooms sleep five—a kingsize in one, a bunk bed (double below, single above) in the other—with a shower room and open-plan living space that includes kitchen and dining area. Electricity, bed linen and towels come as standard, and there's initial fuel for the wood burner so you can light it on arrival.

The kitchen has an electric hob and microwave for cooking, and a patio with garden furniture, fire pit and barbecue sits outside for eating, sitting or gathering round a fire. There's parking for two cars on site, and a pub within a mile. No smoking inside.
