I really loved this place. My husband and I came here for a romantic getaway at the beginning of April. It was our first time staying here. The surrounding environment was beautiful, super clean and elegant, and very peaceful. The breakfast was delicious. I will definitely come back with my husband if I have the chance.

Stayed for 2 Nights, attending a family wedding in the area. The Hotel is really good. Our room had a private balcony so we were able to sit out and enjoy the evenings.Food was excellent, and the staff were amazing.. So pleased we found this place.. Will be certainly coming back..

We had a most enjoyable two night stay at the Chequers Inn over Easter 2026. This friendly family run business gave us the best service that we have experienced in years. The room was spotlessly clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. We had breakfast and dinner on both days and the freshly prepared food was delicious and very good value.

We stayed here three nights booked as a holiday to go to yorkshire show etc very clean staff friendly definitely recommend etc a good base meals in ajoining pub very tasty and cooked to order with prices about right
