Tigh Na Mara

Hunmanby Gap sits in a cove overlooking Filey Bay, with golden sand stretching for miles and footpaths and cycle routes threading through the surrounding landscape. Tigh Na Mara—the name means House by the Sea—stands within easy reach of all this, positioned where a short walk takes you down to the beach. The cottage sleeps six across three bedrooms and two bathrooms, with space enough for families or groups wanting their own self-catering base.

Downstairs, the living and dining room commands views across the bay, with a wood-burning stove and room for eight at the table. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking proper meals, and an adjoining sun room adds more seating with the same outlook. Two bedrooms are on this level: a double and a twin. Upstairs, the third bedroom is a super king with an ensuite bathroom and a window opening onto a balcony. The front garden is open; the rear is enclosed and laid to grass with furniture for sitting out. Wifi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all covered. One car can park on the property; there is additional parking on the road. One well-behaved dog is welcome at no extra cost. The cottage does not permit smoking.
