Tudor House

North Yorkshire

Easingwold is among Yorkshire's most characterful market towns, its cobbled square ringed by independent shops and cafes within easy reach on foot. Tudor House stands as the oldest building in the town, a terraced property that has kept its inglenook fireplaces, exposed beams and period character through centuries of use and renovation. The master bedroom still has its Elizabethan smoke hood—a genuine historical detail that sits oddly and beautifully against the contemporary comforts a holiday home needs to provide.

The layout spreads across two floors. Ground level holds two living rooms (one with a woodburner, one with an electric fire), a substantial kitchen and dining space that opens to the garden, plus a twin bedroom with ensuite and garden access. Upstairs are three further bedrooms—two doubles and another twin—served by a family bathroom and an additional shower room. The property sleeps eight across the four rooms. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included; there is parking for three cars on site and a large garden with patio, seating and a barbecue. One dog may stay free and should be kept on a lead.

The kitchen is equipped for cooking proper meals rather than making do—oven, hob, dishwasher and all the basics. A pub sits within a mile. The town itself is walkable, and the property makes a genuine base for exploring North Yorkshire rather than a place to simply sleep between days out.
