Ruswarp sits on the River Esk in North Yorkshire, a village gateway to the Moors. Waterside Holidays – Fuchsia is one of three cottages here, a single-bedroom property on the ground floor with direct access to shared riverside grounds. Everything unfolds on one level: an open-plan living space with woodburner and French doors onto decking, a kitchen fitted for proper cooking, a king-size bedroom, and a shower room with heated towel rail.

What sets Fuchsia apart is the river itself. Your own boat is available to row, two bikes are provided for exploring inland, and the outdoor shower overlooks the water. The decking has sun loungers and seating. The bar and restaurant are on site. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are covered, plus logs for the stove and a welcome pack on arrival. Parking is for one car. The river is unfenced and the garden has steps, as does the wider grounds. Smoking is not permitted, and the cottage is not suitable for children.
