Westburn Cottage
North Yorkshire
Newbiggin-in-Bishopdale sits in open countryside where walks leave your door and the nearest pub is a short stroll away. Hawes and Leyburn, both market towns with shops and restaurants, are a short drive off. The hamlet itself is quiet and rural, surrounded by the kind of landscape that rewards exploring on foot.
Westburn Cottage is a converted 17th-century barn with a single bedroom (super kingsize bed) and one bathroom. Upstairs holds the living and dining space, where you can watch views across Bishopdale from both front and rear windows, and a kitchen fitted with two electric ovens, an induction hob and dishwasher. Downstairs contains the bedroom, a shower room with underfloor heating, and a utility room with washer-dryer. A multi-fuel burner warms the living room; heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are all included, along with fuel for the burner. Outside is a gravelled courtyard facing south, set with garden furniture and overlooking the valley.
The cottage is no smoking and not suitable for children under six. There is parking for one car on site.
