Abbey Lights is a first-floor apartment at Whitehall Landing in Whitby, sleeping up to five people across two bedrooms—one with a double and single bed, one with a double. The open-plan living space looks out across the upper harbour towards the abbey and coast. You get a kitchen with electric cooking, a bathroom with bath and shower, and parking for one car on site. Essentials like heating, electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are included. One well-behaved pet stays free.
The apartment sits by the River Esk, where you can watch boats and occasional seals from the windows. During summer months the heritage steam train passes on the opposite bank. A ten-minute walk along the harbourside brings you to Whitby's old town with its cafés and pubs. The building has lift access and shared grounds with outdoor seating. No smoking inside.

On the whole our apartment was good. However, the intercom didn't work, which was a problem as we only had one set of keys. Also, lock and key on apartment door were worn. A handyman came and fixed the lock but no luck with the intercom.

There is so much to see in and around Whitby that we had to go back for another week. An apartment at Whitehall Landing is easy walking distance to Whitby Harbour with nice pubs to pop into along the way.

Lovely apartment with waterfront views. Parking available. Gotta pay for refundable damage waiver before the stay.
