Was a lovely time to camp here! The kids loved the tree swing and sewing the chickens free roaming around the main farm house as well as the cats and dogs. Plenty of belly rubs for the dogs. The noise at night calmed down so no issues sleeping. Plenty of space. The showers we were able to use the disabiled one was cold the entire time but could be my fault for not doing it right however from hot sun to cold shower it was nice. The owner and all was friendly and nice too, eletric hook ups was bonus. 10/10 coming back

A little bit off the Hadrian's Wall path but the bunkhouse was very comfortable, clean and warm. It was nice and quiet at night with nice dark skies and just the sound of the curlews calling in the morning. Jean was very welcoming and hospitable and looks after the place really well.

The site was very easy to find (signposted from the main road), and the owners were friendly, welcoming and explanatory. The site is in a great location and there was a good variety of pitching options - I opted for the smaller field, which seemed to attract a quieter crowd (hikers, solo travellers, etc). Facilities were generally clean, but showers and hot taps often ran out of hot water. This would be my only complaint! The site was very good value - paying per person made it a very reasonable rate for a solo traveller, and bags of logs were good value (£10 for a very large bag). Card payments were accepted for everything onsite. The lack of hard standing parking or proper tracks around site might have been a problem in wet weather, but thankfully it was very dry.

Lovely family campsite. Our camping neighbours were lovely and good facilities. Only notes is there was some loud music until 12 and people singing and making loads of noise. Also the firewood was soaked through. £10 for a bag and you had to buy it there as per the website, and it would not set alight.
