Bertram Cottage

Bertram Cottage is a stone-built terraced house in Felton, between Alnwick and Morpeth. It comes with everything you need for a self-catering stay: electricity, gas heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included. The kitchen has a full electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, so you can cook properly or keep things simple. A gas fire warms the living and dining room on colder days.

Two bedrooms sleep four: one has a king bed, the other a single with a pull-out single bed. The bathroom has a bath with shower over. If you're bringing young children, a highchair and stairgate are here. One dog can stay free of charge. Out back there is an enclosed patio with garden furniture and a firepit for evening gatherings.

The village location puts you a short walk from a café and pub. A mile or so further afield, you'll find Craster's fishing harbour, Alnwick's castle and gardens, and the coast with its long sandy beaches. Northumberland's dozens of castles, National Trust properties including Cragside, and riverside towns like Morpeth are all easily reached from here. No smoking inside the property.
