Bumble Cottage is a refurbished 19th-century property in Newton-on-the-Moor, a hamlet tucked between the Cheviot Hills and the Northumberland Heritage Coast. You enter directly into a generous open-plan space that combines living, dining and kitchen areas on the ground floor, with a wood burner, Freeview television and DVD player for quieter evenings. The kitchen is well equipped with an Aga, induction hob, dishwasher and full-size fridge. A utility room with washer-dryer, separate toilet, and a south-facing sun room with French doors opening onto the patio complete this level.
Upstairs are two bedrooms—a king and a double—served by a bathroom with both bath and shower. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included; logs for the wood burner are provided as well. The large lawned garden has patio furniture and a barbecue, with parking on the road and a bike store. No smoking inside. A pub and restaurant are a two-minute walk away; the Heritage Coast beaches are 7 miles south, while Kielder National Park lies to the west. The cottage sleeps four and is yours alone from 3pm check-in to 10am departure.
