The Night Owl is a lovely bed & breakfast located in the beautiful Northumberland countryside. All 3 windows of our room looked out on sheep and pastures. Fiona, our hostess, was gracious and kind. Her breakfast choices were delicious; English breakfast, Choice of eggs, Omelette, and Scrambled Eggs with smoked salmon. Cereals, muffins, yogurt, and fruit were also included. Our room was large and the bathroom had a huge tub! The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were as well. It was a bit chilly when we were there and Fiona had fires going in the breakfast room and lounge. I highly recommend the Night Owl for that escape from the hustle and bustle of the city!

Had the most wonderful stay at this delightful b and b. Fiona is a fantastic host and also an amazing cook. She greets you at the door, shows you round then tells you there is a complimentary afternoon tea being served in the dining room. A lovely gesture and utterly delicious. The house is beautiful, in the most fabulous spot with the best garden surrounding it and out of this world views. Bed was lovely and comfy and shower hot and powerful. Breakfast was awesome, fruit, croissants, full English and all cooked to perfection. A real Northumberland gem that we are so pleased we discovered.

Great rural location close to Alnwick, superb renovated farm house with really nice modern ensuite rooms. Fiona is a great host, even made us a high tea on arrival. Breakfast is locally sourced and made fresh to order. Brilliant garden and countryside views. Great place to stay.

We had a great stay at The Night Owl. Fiona (our host) was very welcoming and made us feel extremely comfortable whilst staying in her farmhouse. We were greeted with an afternoon tea which was very much appreciated after a long journey. The Night Owl sits in a peaceful location within easy reach of many of Northumberland’s visitor attractions. Unfortunately our visit was over all too soon so we will hopefully return to enjoy more of Fiona’s hospitality.
