Drifters
Northumberland
Amble's reputation as a working port and friendly seaside destination rests on its harbour life and the independent traders clustered around it. Drifters sits on the main street, a short walk from the water and within easy reach of fish restaurants, a Sunday market, and boat trips out to Coquet Island. The village itself dates back centuries—this particular property was built in 1820 as a coaching inn—and modern Amble still draws walkers, cyclists and families exploring Northumberland's coast.
The flat occupies a single floor and sleeps four: two bedrooms (one with a kingsize bed, one with singles), a bathroom with bath and shower, and an open-plan living and kitchen space. Everything needed for self-catering is here—a full-sized cooker, dishwasher and washing machine included—along with Wi-Fi, heating, bed linen and towels. Private parking for one car sits to the rear; there is also space for bikes and motorbikes by arrangement. The owners live nearby and have recently restored the property throughout.
Warkworth, with its castle and independent shops, is a mile away. Alnwick and its gardens lie fifteen minutes' drive inland. No smoking.
