Elm Croft
Northumberland
Step into a ground-floor living room with a woodburner, and you have the layout sorted from the start. The kitchen opens onto the patio through French doors, convenient for feeding eight people across the four bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs. One bedroom has an ensuite shower room on the ground floor; the other three are upstairs, including a kingsize and two rooms with single beds. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi—are included, and logs for the fire are supplied.
Elm Croft sits in the village of Falstone, a mile from Kielder Water and within the Gold Tier International Dark Sky National Park. The village has a shop, tea room and pub within yards. Behind the enclosed garden is a small play park. Kielder Observatory is nearby for stargazing and Northern Lights viewing in winter; Leaplish Waterside Park has a visitor centre, bird of prey displays, ferry trips, swimming pool and spa. The area suits walkers, cyclists, water users and photographers drawn by the landscape and night skies. One small dog is welcome. No smoking.
