We stayed here as a group of 15 for a weekend getaway. The house itself is a lovely place with plenty of space for a large group, and we generally enjoyed our time together. However, a few major issues held it back from being a great stay. First, the house was in serious need of a good deep clean before our arrival. Second, the upstairs bathroom layout is a major issue. Placing the bath under the lowest part of the roof is completely impractical. Even at 5'1", I couldn't stand up to wash without hitting my head. It is a beautiful property, but the owners really need to address the cleaning standards and reconsider the upstairs bathroom layouts to make it comfortable for guests. Overall, Lovely House but Impractical Layout and Needs Better Cleaning.

An excellent holiday home for large gatherings, fantastic pool, and parking. Terrible mattresses, the worst I've slept on. Out of 18 people, 8 had poor sleep because of bad mattresses.

Myself and my partner recently stayed at Crackin View and we absolutely LOVED it! The hosts are incredibly attentive, warm and friendly and they were so helpful when we arrived a little later than expected. The room we stayed in was spacious and very clean. Breakfast was of a very high standard and we finished off our stay with a swim in the indoor pool. 100% will be back in the future and I will recommend this guesthouse to friends and family. What a wonderful stay we had at Crackin View. We travelled as a family of 12 and this house couldn't have been better for what we wanted, a lovely family retreat. Mornings all spent around a large breakfast area, followed by a dip in the pool and sauna. We would then go on one of the many walks in the area, 10 mins from Kielder lake. Evenings back all together in the comfortable lounge area as the youngsters played in the games zone which was well equipped. We would then share a meal in the well equipped kitchen diner with a long table allnofnus could sit around comfortably. The rooms are all spacious with double or larger beds.Theres a bar area outside with table tennis which would be lovely in the summer , as would the outdoor area and stars viewing area outside. Don't get me wrong the place isn't perfect, but, it didn't matter. We had an amazing stay and would recommend to anyone and we WILL be returning.
