Beautiful and welcoming place My wife and I drove down from Scotland and couldn't get over the scenery. We spent most of our time out in the beer garden just enjoying the view. There are a bunch of lovely paths through the fields and the location is great for heading on to see the landmarks and history of the area

Simply a wonderful place to stay and feel at home and be well taken care of and as your base for exploring and experiencing Northumberland and all that it has to offer. The 350 year old pub is classic, the beer and ale and cider wonderful, high quality, the food delicious and diverse, and the owners and all who come in couldn't have been more welcoming and fun. The rooms are basic but clean and all functional, the bed was really comfortable, the showers hot and the ambience perfect. The hikes around Greenhaugh and further afield were pretty much perfect. We were sad to have to leave Holly Bush and the area.

Dawn Morning

We stopped for food on saturday evening cosy bar with fire as you walk in, i ordered jambalaya with chicken leg, i have to say my heart sank when they put out this sad plate of food in front of me, there was a tiny amount of what i think was cous cous and a small chicken leg that had no meat on it so after a few mouthfuls that was it. Im still upset anyone could serve a plate of food like that and charge £18.95. The dish was not as described and didn't taste great.

We visited to Holly Bush twice when visiting Grenhaugh recently. Super friendly, lovely people, very accommodating with my wife's allergies when eating. Great beer. Great food. Lovely beer garden. Just a proper pub, with locals and visitors both welcomed
