Belford sits in a quiet corner of Northumberland where the coast is genuinely close—less than a mile away—and several of the region's best beaches lie within easy driving distance. The Martin's is a single-storey cottage on Elwick Farm, purpose-built for groups or families wanting their own space. It sleeps six across three bedrooms: one with a super kingsize bed, two with twin singles. There are two bathrooms, one with a bath and shower, the other with a walk-in shower cubicle.
The open-plan living and dining room has a woodburner and Freeview TV. The kitchen is properly equipped for self-catering—electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and microwave mean you can cook as much or as little as you like. A utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer is built in. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included. The cottage is entirely yours; no shared facilities or other guests on the property.
Outside, the enclosed garden has a patio with barbecue and seating. Parking for two cars is on site. Dogs are welcome. No smoking inside. Check-in is after 4pm, checkout before 10am.

It's 2-3mile away from anywhere. Can't walk to a pub or village. Very peaceful great views. Very well equipped in the kitchen. Only grumble is the bed is too hard for us and the quilt isn't big enough for the size of the bed.

What a lovely place to stay, the cottage is well equipped with everything you could need and comfortable beds. It's so peaceful, the view from the kitchen window is great -watching the sheep, lambs, cows, hares and various birds, including birds of prey. Gorgeous sunsets. Plenty of things to see and do in the area, not far from wonderful beaches, will definitely return.

Our stay at 'Six the Square' was fantastic. The cottage was incredibly spacious, easily accommodating four adults and two toddlers with plenty of room to spare. Waking up to a peaceful view of the cows from the breakfast bar was a real highlight. The host, Christine, was a great communicator and gave us some excellent local recommendations. The area itself is wonderful, peaceful and with many beautiful beaches just a short drive away, including the stunning Ross Sands. We couldn't have asked for a better first trip to the area and wouldn't hesitate to return and stay in the cottages.
