A recently renovated ground-floor apartment in Wooler, Flodden has the feel of a contemporary home rather than a dated rental. Two bedrooms—one double, one single—plus a fold-out bed in the living room sleep four, with a bathroom containing a bath and shower. The kitchen is equipped for real cooking, with a gas hob and oven, dishwasher and microwave. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included; one car can park on site.
The apartment sits on a quiet street but opens onto the town's shops, cafés and pubs within easy walking distance. A raised rear patio with garden furniture overlooks Wooler Water and towards Weetwood Hill—a good spot to settle in the evening. The location works as a base for exploring the Cheviot Hills on foot, or for visiting nearby attractions: the Ford and Etal Estate with its working mill and narrow-gauge railway, the Ad Gefrin museum, or further afield, Bamburgh Castle and Lindisfarne. Wooler itself is known for its antique dealers and monthly livestock auctions. One dog is welcome to stay free; the apartment is non-smoking and the raised patio requires children to be supervised.
