Brampton and its surrounding villages sit on the edge of rural Northumberland, with enough space to feel genuinely remote yet close enough to everything for a practical stay. Hartleyburn Hall is a substantial detached house that was once the village shop—the old retail space is now a generous kitchen and dining room, part of what makes this property work for eighteen guests spread across seven bedrooms and six bathrooms.
The house splits into distinct living zones, which matters when you're accommodating a large group. Downstairs holds the original kitchen area, a living room with TV and multi-fuel burner, and a games room with pool table and dartboard. Upstairs is a second living room with its own kitchen setup. Bedrooms range from a kingsize to bunks and singles, each with a TV. The sauna fits eight people; the hot tub sits in the half-acre garden behind a private deck and barbecue. Car parking is on site. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. No smoking throughout the property; the owners take family and group bookings only.
The garden wraps around the house with lawned space and a stream running behind a hedge. A travel cot and highchair are available. This works for extended families gathering together or friends wanting shared holiday space with room to spread out.

We recently returned from a great weekend break with friends at Hartleyburn Hall where we had a great time. The property is very clean and well presented and the kitchen is well equipped. There is lots of space and with 6 teenagers in our group we made good use of the pool table, table tennis table and darts board. The hot tub and sauna were also a bonus! The property is situated in a small village with lots of opportunities for walking close by and Hadrians Wall is only about 25 mins drive away. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Visited here a few times now, always very clean with great facilities. Kitchen really well equipt, loads of space and love the fact there are different living areas. Upstairs apartment come is really hand with its own kitchen and extra fridge. Great sauna and hot tub and loads of bathrooms too. Will definitely go back.

Recently stayed for 3 nights 8/12/23 to 10/12/23 for my wife’s 60th birthday celebrations. All15 of us had an amazing time. The accommodation and facilities are 1st class, the owners have thought of everything. We will definitely be returning in the very near future. I would highly recommend Hartleyburn Hall to anyone.

Just spent a long weekend with family & friends for a joint 60th celebration for myself & my sister in law which consisted of 17 women. This place offered the perfect setting for a fantastic weekend of celebration. The place was extremely well equipped with everything we could possibly need. We hired a mini bus on the Saturday & spent the afternoon in Carlisle which again was superb. Other point to note, there’s a lovely walk which I believe was an old railway line just minutes from the cottage. Neil met us on arrival & upon leaving so is very helpful with anything you require.
