Rothbury sits on the edge of the Coquet Valley, a working market town that doubles as a gateway to Northumberland's moors, rivers and coast. Highbury stands within easy reach of the town centre, offering a base for exploring the wider region on foot or by car. The whole property is yours alone, with three bedrooms (sleeping six), a bathroom and shower room, and private parking for two cars.
The ground floor spreads across a living room with woodburner and smart TV, a dining room, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave. A utility room houses the washer-dryer. Two bedrooms on this level share the family shower room. Upstairs, the third bedroom is a kingsize with an ensuite bath. Terrace doors open onto a decked area and garden with seating, a barbecue and firepit. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included; one well-behaved pet stays free. The property is non-smoking.
Rothbury itself has a Co-op, cafés and pubs within walking distance. The Coquet Valley offers riverside paths, and the coast is a drive away. The garden has steps, and ten steps lead to the front entrance.

Absolutely perfect home with everything you need on your doorstep. Peaceful village. Great parking, outside seating, luxurious, dog friendly, log burner... Just brilliant, super clean as well! Short drive to everything touristy like Alnwick and Bamburgh, tucked away up a private path, I want to live here.

I have stayed at this cottage with my partner prior to having our first child Christmas time last year, we fancied a little staycation as a baby moon. We were gobsmacked on arrival, what a place… a bottle of red wine and non alcoholic Prosecco with local sweet treats (cakes) all set up on the table on arrival. Everything has been done to top standards, interior design and all furnishings there’s been no expense spared, log fire, smart tvs in the bedrooms and conservatory, lovely wooden outdoor seating area overlooking all of Northumberland’s infamous countryside village, Rothbury. This is a datum point for many day excursions being, Simonside hills, cragside, alnwick, alnmouth, amble, bamburgh castle and beach, craster, sea houses and many more. You can make this a quiet retreat solely in the cottage, nip to local traditional bars and other local attractions or venture out around Northumberland. Value for money, worth every penny, five starts from us.

Our family had a really enjoyable and comfortable stay at this beautiful cottage, located up on the hill with a lovely view of Rothbury from the decked terrace. The cottage is well equipped and tastefully decorated to a very high standard, with a large enclosed garden and plenty of parking space. The bedrooms are cosy and comfortable with a lovely bathroom and good shower on the ground floor or you can enjoy a nice bath on the first floor en-suite. The conservatory is a great place to chill out and dine with the family, our dog settled right in too and loved chilling out in front of the log fire. The owners have really went all out to make this place an enjoyable stay for all ages, the perfect place for a family get away 😁
