Hillside House

Hillside House works well for families wanting space to spread out, groups of friends after somewhere to celebrate, or couples after a coastal break with a bit of luxury. The four bedrooms and two bathrooms give everyone their own corner, and there's genuine living space downstairs rather than cramped corners—an open-plan ground floor with kitchen, dining area and sunroom that all flow together, plus a ground-floor bedroom if stairs are a concern. One pet is welcome.

The kitchen is properly equipped: electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, and a wine cooler if that matters to you. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are all included. Outside, there's a private garden with patio seating and a hot tub for six—the kind of thing that transforms an evening. You get parking for three cars and a private external shower room. Smoking is not permitted. Check-in is after 15:00 and checkout before 10:00.

The property sits on the edge of Berwick-upon-Tweed, close enough to coastal walks and the local food scene (Well Hung and Tender is nearby). It's a newly completed house with modern finishes and an eco-friendly setup that doesn't matter much to most guests but keeps running costs down.
