Maltster’s Rest

Maltster's Rest is a two-bedroom apartment housed in a converted malthouse in central Alnwick. The whole property is yours alone, set on the ground floor with its own private parking space right outside. The open-plan living area connects kitchen, dining space and sitting room with a smart TV, while the master bedroom has an ensuite with walk-in shower and the second bedroom its own bathroom with bath and shower. Both bedrooms have kingsize beds; the master can be split into singles on request. Everything you need to cook and eat is provided—electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge, microwave and coffee machine among them—and there's a washer-dryer on site.

Alnwick itself is a busy market town with independent shops, restaurants, pubs and a cinema within walking distance. The castle, famous as a filming location, sits nearby. From here you can reach the Northumberland coast easily, and the surrounding countryside is accessible for exploration. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. The building doesn't permit smoking. This suits couples or small families after a self-contained base with a bit of historical character and the practicality of town-centre living.
