Railway Cottages - Rose Cottage

Rose Cottage is a single-storey stone cottage where everything happens on one level. You step straight into an open-plan living space with a sitting area, dining area and kitchen all flowing together—a layout that works well for two people who want to feel together without feeling cramped. The bedroom has a zip-and-link bed that can be arranged as a super king or split into two singles, and the ensuite shower room is attached, so no trips down a corridor in the morning.

The kitchen is equipped to cook proper meals rather than just heat things up: electric oven, hob and microwave, plus a fridge and washer-dryer if you need them. The living area has a television, DVD player and books to browse. One dog is welcome to stay at no extra cost. Bed linen and towels are provided, and heating is included in the price. You have your own parking for two cars on site and access to a garden with sitting-out space.

The cottage sits on a small site 4 miles from the A1, which puts you within reach of Northumberland's Heritage Coast, its string of castles, Druridge Bay Country Park, and towns like Warkworth and Amble with their harbours, high streets and cafés. Alnwick Castle is ten miles away, and Holy Island, one of the region's most visited spots, is thirty-four miles north.
