Rothbury Cottage
Northumberland
Rothbury is a historic market town in the heart of Northumberland, known for its location at the gateway to Coquetdale and the Simonside Hills. Visitors come for walking, fishing on the River Coquet, and exploring the local independent shops—there's an award-winning butcher and several bakeries among them. The town has enough character that many who arrive by car end up leaving it parked and exploring on foot.
Rothbury Cottage is a three-bedroom property sleeping six, positioned in a quiet cul-de-sac just two minutes' walk from the village pubs and restaurants. The ground floor has a living and dining room with television and Freesat, an equipped kitchen with electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and washing machine, and a separate toilet. Upstairs are three bedrooms: a king, two singles, and a bunk bed, plus a shower room. A wrap-around garden with south-facing patio and seating is at the back, and there is parking for one car on site. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. The cottage is non-smoking.
Nearby attractions include Cragside, a National Trust property with historic gardens and the first house powered by hydroelectricity. A golf course sits just across the bridge. Longer journeys will take you to Alnwick and the Northumberland coast.
