The Malt House

Northumberland

View on Google Maps

Rothbury is a small market town in Northumberland, surrounded by countryside and the River Coquet. The Malt House sits within walking distance of the town centre's pubs, cafes and shops, making it a practical base for exploring both the high street and the wider landscape beyond. It's the kind of place that suits families wanting a genuine break, couples after quiet time, or walkers planning their days around the surrounding routes.

This three-bedroom cottage sleeps five across two floors. Ground level holds the living room with a smart TV and patio doors opening onto the garden, plus a kitchen-diner with gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher and everything needed for self-catering. There's a separate toilet on this floor. Upstairs are three bedrooms: a double and two single rooms, served by a bathroom with bath and shower. The essentials—bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi, heating and hot water—are all included, and there's parking for one car on site. The back garden has furniture and a step down to the lower level. No smoking inside the property.

The River Coquet is close by for walks, and the countryside immediately around Rothbury offers plenty of scope for getting outdoors. The town itself has what you need for a relaxed stay without fuss.
