Stublick View
Northumberland
You enter Stublick View into a ground-floor open-plan space that combines living and dining areas. The living room centres on a wood burner, with Freeview TV for quieter evenings. The kitchen sits within the same space, equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, and the usual appliances for cooking properly. A separate toilet completes the ground floor. Upstairs are two bedrooms—one with a double bed (4ft 6in) and one with a ¾ double (4ft)—along with a shower room with cubicle shower. Bed linen and towels come as standard, and the wood burner's initial logs are provided.
The cottage sits on the owner's working equestrian yard in rural Northumberland, just outside Langley-on-Tyne. A sitting-out area with picnic bench faces the farm, and you get private parking for two cars. The setting suits walkers and those exploring the region's castles, Roman sites and market towns. Hexham lies 7 miles away; Hadrian's Wall and its Roman settlements are nearby; Housesteads and Vindolanda sit 12 miles off. Catherine Cookson's former home is within walking distance, and Langley Castle stands under 2 miles away. A fishing lake lies just over a quarter-mile from the property. The nearest pub is within a mile. Note that children under 16 are not accommodated, and smoking is not permitted inside.
