Langley Castle Hotel

We have just stayed the night at Langley Castle, and enjoyed a superb dinner in the restaurant. The menu was very varied and gave us plenty to choose from. We have lots of praise for the hardworking staff who have a friendly smile ready to greet visitors. The staff were very attentive and helpful, anticipating our needs before we even thought of them. A special shout out to Mohamed, Bob, Jess and Aiden. The restaurant which has recently been very tastefully refurbished gave us a wonderful and memorable meal. We would not hesitate to recommend Langley Castle to anyone who would like a stay or simply to enjoy a meal in a 13th century castle. We stayed in one of the Castle View rooms this time, having previously stayed in feature rooms in the castle. We were not disappointed. The room was tastefully decorated and wonderfully quiet at night. We will be back. Thank you to everyone at the Castle - you made our visit truly memorable. mental note : birthdays, anniversaries ... This was an amazing place to stay. The staff, especially Bob, couldn't be more accommodating. The room was well equipped and a comfortable bed. Great assistance with places to go to explore the local area. Breakfast was included and there were plenty of options to choose from. I would recommend this as a place to stay.

We are interested in visiting castle ruins as a hobby so I booked this hotel as a special treat before visiting some local ruins. We have just had the most magical time. A lot of thought and consideration has gone into every aspect of this establishment and it’a accommodations. They’ve been very accommodating for our 9 week old son and our dog Rosie. Dinner is a must and the breakfast was incredible and supplied locally. We will be back!

Langley Castle was the final destination before heading home after a huge Scottish road trip. Leaving the Isle of Skye earlier that morning, 9 hours later we finally arrived at Langley Castle and this was the most welcome sight. The approach to the Castle is up a short driveway however, it perfectly presents the elevated Castle and grounds. This 14th century castle has well and truly been through the mill over the years and of recent times, carefully reconstructed from its ruins into the luxury hotel it is today. Rooms are available in the Castle itself but there are also some very nice and traditionally styled rooms in the old converted stable blocks. This place has a wonderful charm, steeped in history and set up to impress with its medieval furnishings and architecture. The staff are incredibly welcoming and cannot do enough for the guests. All the public areas throughout the Castle are superb and at times when sat in the drawing room having pre dinner drinks, it actually feels a little surreal that you are in these surroundings. Langley Castle offers a totally different experience to most other hotels and is something to be thoroughly enjoyed. The grounds are accessible to guests and at 10.15am daily there are also guided Castle tours which take you behind the scenes and even onto the turret roof top. Breakfast, afternoon tea and evening dinner are all available and set within the beautiful rooms of the Castle. The staff and service was consistently very good and made everyone enjoy their unique experience. Also to note, Langley Castle was the inspiration for several of the Harry Potter film scenes so it’s fame comes in many ways. What a great way to spend the last 3 nights of this road trip and I couldn’t recommend Langley Castle high enough….. well done team Langley.
