The Hayloft

The Hayloft is a converted barn cottage a short walk from Beadnell Bay's wide sandy beach. The property comprises a ground-floor living room with a Smart TV and a fitted kitchen with electric cooking, dishwasher and full-sized fridge. Upstairs is a double bedroom and bathroom with shower. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi—are included. There is parking for one car on site, and one well-behaved dog is welcome. The approach has steps, and there are steps in the surrounding grounds; smoking is not permitted inside.

Beadnell itself is geared towards water sports: sailing, kite surfing, sea kayaking and scuba diving all happen here regularly. The village has a shop and pub. A mile along the coast, Seahames's fishing harbour runs boat trips to the Farne Islands, known for seals and seabirds, and offers tea rooms and small shops. Bamburgh, with its castle and Grace Darling Museum, is a further 2 miles on. Inland, Alnwick holds a castle of its own and Alnwick Garden, a formal landscape with a Grand Cascade and restaurant inside Europe's largest treehouse. Horse riding, fishing and golf are all nearby. Check-in is after 17:00 and checkout before 11:00.
