The Old Farmhouse

Northumberland's rural landscape provides the setting for The Old Farmhouse, a substantial property standing back from a quiet country lane with grounds of its own. Oxford Farm Shop lies nearby for provisions. Nine guests can stay here—five bedrooms split across two floors, each with its own shower room or ensuite, plus a family bathroom with a jacuzzi bath on the first floor. A downstairs shower room serves the ground floor too.

The farmhouse spreads across two living areas, both with views across open countryside. One has a working fireplace; the other connects to a conservatory that extends the sense of space. The kitchen, farm-style and generously proportioned, holds an Aga alongside modern appliances, a central dining table for sociable meals, and French doors opening to the garden. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included; the fireplace is fuelled at no extra cost. One well-behaved dog is welcome, with extras provided for them.

Outside, the enclosed rear garden features a patio with seating, a gas barbecue, and a private hot tub for six. Space for three cars is available. The property suits families or groups seeking a rural base, with good access to both countryside walks and the coast at Cheswick Sands. Smoking is not permitted inside.
