Lovely Sunday lunch with a friend and his boys. Service was friendly and attentive. Noticing I had reached a significant health milestone they respectfully acknowledge it. Such a lovely suprise and totally unprompted.

Had the Market Menu. 3 courses. Wonderful food. 3 generations and we all loved it. Quality food, not typical pub food at all. Cooked and presented with care. Not rushed through and each course came in good time. Great value for money.

Came here for the first time today for dinner. Booking a table was easy via the website, you do need to give your card details but this is understandable given the number of cancellations hospitality had to put up with. Greeted warmly and taken to our table. Drinks order was taken quickly and then food order once we had time to browse the menu. Prices varied from the Sunday roast menu I located online but think it was probably an older version as couldn't find a newer one which I do think is worth adding to their website. We had the soup (carrot and ginger) and the chicken wings and both were tasty. The wings were spicy but a damp cloth or wipe would be useful to clean your hands. I had the mixed roast and my friend the lamb Henry both were tasty. A little more gravy would have been better but I do begrudge paying a £1 for more. The desserts of tiramsu sundes and vanilla cheesecake were very good particularly the sundae as it was a nice twist and the chocolate chip brownie balanced the sweetness of the tiramsu. We both really enjoyed it and service was friendly and professional.

Very friendly and warm welcome from the staff. Food was really excellent. The mushrooms on sourdough toast starter, so many mushrooms. Sea Bass main perfectly cooked and plenty of vegetables.
