About Norwich Camping & Caravanning Club Site
This long-established Camping & Caravanning Club site sits beside the River Yare on Martineau Lane, barely a mile and a half from Norwich Cathedral and market square. It's one of the few places in England where you can pitch up and walk into a historic city centre within half an hour, or cycle there faster along the riverside path. The site itself is unpretentious and well run, with level grass and hardstanding pitches, modern shower blocks, laundry facilities, and electric hook-up on most pitches.
What it offers is convenience rather than bells and whistles—ideal for couples and families using Norwich as a base for exploring the city, coast, and Norfolk Broads without hotel prices. The approach can be a little fiddly for larger outfits, and some visitors find the facilities functional rather than luxurious, but for a city-centre touring site with fishing on the doorstep and public transport nearby, it does the job admirably. Non-members pay a bit extra, though the club fee quickly pays for itself over a few nights.

We stayed on site from 2nd Aug 25 for 3 nights. Whilst the site facilities are dated they are very clean. Both wardens Sharon and Billy do a brilliant job maintaining them. They both go the extra mile to make your stay a pleasant as possible. It is about 30min walk into Norwich with the bus stop a short walk from the site but they are few and far between about 1 every hour. Thanks Sharon and Billy for a pleasant stay.

The campsite is perfect location for the town. Very clean toilet block. The pitches are lovely sun and shade. A lovely woodland walk joined to the campsite. Dog friendly. You can see lots of wildlife as it’s close to the river. Billy and his wife Sharon were perfect hosts very friendly and helpful. We have used this site a few times and will definitely return and fully recommend this site .

We arrive just after lunchtime to a very warm welcome from Billy and Sharon. They showed us to our pitch and explained the camp layout. The site is small but very clean and maintained. The toilets and showers are a bit out dated but very very clean and lots of hot water. It’s a 30 min walk into the the centre of Norwich and there is also a bus stop near the site. Very central to visit other locations in Norfolk and the Coast.
