About The Lord Rosebery

Golf courses and fishing spots sit within easy reach of The Lord Rosebery, along with a good spread of pubs, bars and restaurants nearby for evenings out beyond the hotel itself. It's a practical base in Norwich for anyone wanting to explore the surrounding area without straying far from a comfortable bed and free on-site parking.

The hotel itself is built around a pub, with a restaurant, bar and outdoor seating area where guests can eat and drink at their own pace. Sunday roasts are a particular strength, served in generous portions with well-cooked meats, and the drinks selection runs to a wide choice of beers alongside the usual range. Breakfast is available each morning, and reception operates around the clock for late arrivals or early starts.

Rooms are en-suite and set up for a straightforward, comfortable overnight stay, with free WiFi and drinks available in-room. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere throughout is welcoming and lively rather than quiet or formal. It suits travellers who want a sociable pub setting alongside their accommodation, with parking sorted and Norwich's attractions within striking distance.

Stayed one Sunday night prior to playing Royal Norwich. three letting bedrooms with a car space for each room. Very close to city centre. Lovely atmosphere, great food at a reasonable additional price hence very popular, comfortable rooms. Breakfast was not what I was expecting however, booking made by a playing partner, more of a continental picnic in the bedroom which for £90 I think is not appropriate.

Came here for the first time with family last weekend and had the three meat roast and cauliflower cheese which was like a meal itself, the food was delicious, staff friendly and quick service, dog friendly if you have been on a dog walk or just want to take them with you.

We love The Roseberry and often stay there when we go to Norwich. The beer and food are usually of a very high quality. We went there recently and the beer was again great. As we were going to a gig straight after, we ordered the feta and calamari starters and some sweet potato chips. The chips were nice enough, but the feta was a thick block of cheese on a bland tomato sauce, so it was pretty dry and not very nice, although it came with a really good focaccia. The calamari was almost inedible. It was tough and rubbery and covered in greasy batter. It tasted like it was not fresh. On reflection, we should have sent it back, but we were hungry and in a rush to get to our gig. We did tell them it wasn’t very nice when the member of staff came to collect our plates, and they were good enough to give us a free desert, but that too was a massive plate of sugar overload of ice cream and a big chocolate mousse, which was way too sweet. Having eaten there before, when there were great salads and light food on the menu, we were really disappointed at how the food had deteriorated.
