Tucked down a quiet country lane on the outskirts of Horsford, Whispering Oaks is a tiny, intimate site where grass pitches nestle beneath mature oak trees and wildlife thrives all around. With just a handful of spots, the atmosphere is genuinely peaceful—perfect for couples, families and dogs seeking a proper escape into nature. The Broads National Park and historic Norwich are both around 20 minutes' drive, putting walking trails, boat cruises and North Norfolk's beaches comfortably within reach.
Access is through a locked gate for added security, and facilities cover the essentials: electric hook-ups, water taps, chemical disposal and recycling. Showers and toilets are available for an additional fee. The owners champion green credentials, asking guests to use eco-friendly chemicals on pitches. Surrounded by livestock, horses and arable fields, it's a genuinely rural setting—though that means keeping dogs on leads around the animals. We had a fantastic stay at this campsite. The location is absolutely amazing—set in a beautiful village and surrounded by nature, with ducks, geese, and plenty of birdlife to enjoy. It’s a small CL site, which is exactly what we look for: peaceful, relaxed, and not overcrowded. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which really added to the experience. It’s also perfectly situated—just 20 minutes from Norwich and about 15 minutes from Wroxham and the Broads, with a cycle trail nearby, so there’s plenty to explore. The site had just reopened ahead of our stay, and the new shower facilities were finished in time for our arrival. They’re modern, clean, and very comfortable—definitely a great addition. There’s one shower to be shared. That said, during our stay we had it to ourselves, which felt like a bit of a luxury! (When we booked it was advertised without facilities, so it was a bonus having them). Overall, a lovely, peaceful site in a beautiful setting—we’ll definitely return.

Very good value for money, quiet site so very peaceful. Facilities are basic but I understand there is new owners who are refurbishing so I will definitely be visiting again soon
