I came with a society and had such a great time, the staff member that served us all was super friendly and you could tell she loved her job. She also had a really cute puppy. Pot and kettle also do take away kits which is super handy and I've not seen any other pottery place do.

The place was easy to find, however, the pottery and paint selection were quite poor. They needed at least 10 more shades/colours of paints to make it a decent selection. I know they need to charge a certain amount for the pottery, but I found the prices quite high for what the selection was. We found that 1 hour and 30 mins was not enough time to paint. We found ourselves rushing towards the end which made it stressful and not enjoyable and our painting didn’t end up looking how we wanted because of this. 2 hours would have been the perfect amount of time to enjoy our time painting. They do offer a paint kit to finish painting at home, however, when you live a good distance from them(like me) then this isn’t the best solution in terms of time and having to bring the pottery back to be glazed. The staff were friendly but slightly felt like they weren’t bothered. They also asked for payment in the middle of our time slot which took time out of the time we’re allowed to be painting, I think paying at the end makes much more sense. The student discount is very considerate and nice for us students, but overall I would say there are way better pottery painting places that I have experienced in Nottingham.

We didn’t have the best experience with pot n kettle. After painting the pots it took 3-4 weeks for them to be ready for pickup. When I picked them up and took them home, I realised they had given us someone else’s plate. After ringing them, they asked us to come back to the shop to swap them back but we were unable to. Eventually said they would post the plate to us. After 2 weeks, we still hadn’t received the plate, so rung them again, where they said that they ‘couldn’t find a box to post it in’. After 7 weeks we had our plate. No refund or discount offered. The bowl I painted has started to crack after only washing it with soap and hot water. I have never had a painted pot crack on me. Not pleased with our experience here. Wouldn’t come back here and wouldn’t recommend.

Super cute place, had such a good time! So affordable too (love places with a student discount!), only spent 14.40 for an hour and a half of painting a medium sized mug :) Can’t wait for it to be fired and glazed!
