What visitors say

tiny toes ballet Colchester

We have just got back from our first camping trip as a family and loved every minute. The location was perfect for family bike rides, taking out our paddle boards and lots to keep our children busy throughout the day. All the staff were so lovely and couldn’t have done any more for us if they tried. They made so much effort with our children and they haven’t stopped talking about their ‘new friends’. We were provided with everything we needed (kettles, cups, chairs, table and even a bbq). The large fire pit was a huge hit for the kiddies to have some marshmallows. The showers and toilets were super clean and tidy and well kept, a little walk to the main shower block but the little heater was a hit for children not to get too cold after a shower! It looked so pretty at night too and peaceful as our children were in bed. We stayed in the Fern tent which was really comfy and spacious. Would definitely recommend! We can’t wait to come back! Thank you x

Had the most fantastic time glamping in the bell tent. It was completely spotless, super cozy, and surprisingly huge inside! There is nothing quite like relaxing by the fire pit in the evening and waking up to the peaceful sounds of nature. Nano went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and the facilities were top-notch. It was exactly what we needed to unwind and disconnect. 10/10 recommend and we will definitely be back!

We were there this week for a couple of nights, the staff couldn't do enough for us. The weather was amazing and staff got us extension cord, pump and hose, and we sat in padding pools to stay cool. 😀 helped with luggage and were really friendly. Accommodation was great for us , left drinks for us as it was one of our groups birthday. Thank you to the staff, will definitely recommend to family and friends.

The bell tents are set up in a really nice space, it's very green and surrounded by trees although the road is quite busy. The National Water Sports centre is a lovely environ right next door. We found the staff to be friendly and welcoming although contacting them wasn't always easy. The tents themselves are nice, the beds varied in comfort levels, you could see that lots had mould on the mattresses under the sheets. I wouldn't call this glamping, there provision of power sockets wasn't sufficient for the number of people staying (you had to choose between fridge or kettle for example). there are only two toilets, which are really nicely done and well lit but had the site been full it would not have been sufficient. Showers, which are not great, are a fairly long walk across the fields. The tents have no running water and there are no washing up facilities other than at the showers. The website says not to bring sleeping bags but they were needed! We were very cold the first night until a better heater was provided. There were not enough chairs for everyone staying but the website doesn't say you should bring your own. The stay was very expensive for what was provided which was shame because this site has a lot going for it, they just need to increase amenities for it to truly be glamping and not just camping with a camp bed and a duvet.
