Riverside touring pitches beside the National Water Sports Centre, within the city itself
About Holme Pierrepont Country Park Campsite
Holme Pierrepont Country Park sits on Nottingham's eastern edge beside the River Trent, wrapping around the National Water Sports Centre's rowing lake. It's the closest realistic camping option to the city centre—ideal if you want proper outdoor pitches without leaving Nottingham altogether. The touring pitches sit on level grass close to the water, with electric hook-ups and modern shower and toilet facilities. You'll share the grounds with dog walkers, cyclists and watersports visitors rather than having the place to yourselves.
Flat, well-surfaced paths circle the rowing lake and run along the Trent, making it an easy base for cycling or running, and the water sports centre offers rowing, canoeing and white-water rafting sessions. Nottingham's centre is a short drive or manageable cycle ride away along the riverside path. The open, flat character suits caravans and motorhomes particularly well, though tents are equally welcome—just be aware there's little natural shelter if the weather turns.

What visitors say
Were on the touring site date fri 26.6.26. Spotless clean. Absolutely lovely staff very welcoming and see to all your needs. The toilet and shower areas are also very clean. We're regulars here and definitely recommend for lovely walks peaceful surroundings. Will always return.

The amount of space was ample. However we were arrived they had double booked our pitch and someone was in our spot. The rules state dogs must be kept on a lead, but lots of people not following this and one dog jumped up a child in our group scratching her leg . The shower and toilet blocks were disgusting after a few hours. Rubbish, clogged toilets and brown water on the floor. They are cleaned daily. But not frequently enough. The bowl washing sink also was very blocked on our last day.\\n\\nGenerally, theres lots to do and explore and lovely parks and high ropes.\\n\\nThe site is a lively one with large single sex groups drinking and playing music into the night.

An honest review. We came as 2 couples in a caravan and a motorhome.\\n\\nThe pitches are marked awfully which led to abit of a faff when us and the party's next to us ended up super close to each other but no biggie turns out we knew them but pitches seriously need to be marked better.\\n\\nThe site its self is decent with nice little walks but feel a little catfished around the activitys I wont lie. Tries to book the activitys for the kids twice and no space even though they was dead everytime we was there watching other than those and the 2 parks there's not much else to do here for the little kids.\\n\\nIt is what you make it and we had a good time but wouldn't rush back.
