About Lace Market Hotel

Lace Market Hotel occupies a row of converted Georgian buildings on High Pavement, the main street running through the Lace Market and one of the best-preserved streets in the city. The setting puts guests in the middle of Nottingham's densest concentration of independent bars and restaurants, with the Cross Keys pub and restaurant operating as the hotel's own ground-floor venue.

Rooms mix original features, exposed brick, high ceilings and sash windows, with a contemporary decorative style, and several of the larger rooms and suites retain fireplaces and cornicing from the building's original use as merchants' townhouses. The hotel's late licence and central position make it a popular choice for a weekend built around Nottingham's evening scene rather than an early-to-bed stay.

St Mary's Church and the Contemporary art gallery are a minute's walk away, and the castle and Old Market Square are both under ten minutes on foot, making this one of the most walkable bases in the city for anyone without a car.

Amazing Hotel. My wife and I stayed for one night and it was great. Room was spacious and had an outside decking area with lovely seating. Bed was so comfy and clean. Great location, very central with lots of restaurants and bars close by. Staff were polite and professional. Would definitely visit again and recomend to my friends.

Think the room we were allocated must have recently been refurbished. Lovely decor Great bathroom and spotless. Public areas all nicely decorated and very clean. The hotel has a modern contemporary feel. Didn't eat so can't comment on this.

This hotel was so very disappointing. It is clearly in desperate need of some TLC and investment. The whole hotel looks run-down, is in bad repair, and is dishevelled. My room smelt of old plumbing, with a constantly dripping tap, and the carpet was badly stained. On top of that, my window literally came away from the frame as I went to close it, creating a health and safety concern on top of the rest of the poor experience. Sorry, but this place needs an overhaul ASAP to live up to its claim to luxury.

The food is ok, but the pizzas didn’t have enough sauce or cheese. The team were tentative but it is more of a pub, but the drafts on offer were great. I didn’t stay in the hotel over night
