About Garbhein Bed & Breakfast
Kilmelford's stretch of Argyll countryside, with its hills rising around the village, sets the scene for Garbhein Bed & Breakfast, a quiet adults-only stop roughly 15.4 miles from Oban by road. The mountain views from the property make the most of this setting, and the garden and outdoor seating give guests a place to sit and take them in.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, free WiFi and drinks provided, with breakfast included each morning and a packed lunch available for anyone heading out for the day. There's a garden to relax in, 24 hour reception for flexible arrivals, and free on-site parking, which makes exploring the surrounding area straightforward.
A pub or bar, restaurant and other eateries are all nearby, along with entertainment options, so evenings don't have to mean travelling far. For those wanting to venture further, Oban itself is within reach, making Garbhein a practical base for touring this part of Argyll and Bute.

Thank goodness we found this fabulous B and B online. From the outset, all our communications were easy, promptly dealt with and very efficient. The house is beautiful and decorated to a very high standard. The rooms are lovely and fabulously appointed. The en-suite bathrooms are equally special. The owners Lindsay and Sue are not only wonderful hosts, but go above and beyond what you would normally expect. Nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast!!! Oh my goodness, yummy. If you visit and I recommend you do, please have one of their cooked breakfasts. Bacon, sausage, local eggs, black pudding, mushrooms, tomatoes and tattie scones ( scons not scowns!!!) Their local knowledge is fantastic and Lindsay recommended trips for us to do, to fit for our needs and mobility issues. Please don’t miss out on this B and B you won’t be disappointed

Susan and Lesley are lovely people. I had to change my booking due to the terrible snow we had this year. They didn't charge me any extra and where very kind and helpful. My stay there was lovely, beautiful peaceful surroundings and looking up through the window to the stars are night was just beautiful. The rooms are clean and tidy and shower is great!! Tea, Coffee and hot chocolate available in the room. Breakfast was great cooked by the lovely Lesley and they will even book you a place for dinner if needed. Well worth a stay here, even if it is just a short stay. Looking forward to hopefully staying here again.
