About Premier Inn Paignton Seafront Goodrington Sands

Goodrington Sands, part of Paignton on Devon's English Riviera, is a stretch of beach known for family-friendly seaside days, with watersports, fishing and cycling routes close by. Premier Inn Paignton Seafront Goodrington Sands makes the most of that setting, standing directly on the beachfront with many rooms looking straight out over the sea.

The hotel has 153 rooms spread across two floors, each with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and drinks available on request, plus accessible rooms for those who need them. A restaurant on site serves breakfast and other meals, and 24 hour reception means arrival times are flexible. Chargeable parking is available at the hotel, along with an electric vehicle charge point.

Beyond the beach itself, the area offers golf, horse riding and entertainment nearby, along with pubs and restaurants within easy reach for evenings out. Staff are generally helpful, and the rooms are kept clean and comfortable, though service can vary a little from visit to visit. For a straightforward seafront stay on Goodrington Sands, it covers the essentials well.

Excellent location, right by the beach with good walks in the morning or evenings. There's a costa, ice cream and convenience shop nearby the beach too. Rooms were as expected with hot shower. Breakfast was good with good range and good cooked breakfast too. Staff were helpful and welcoming. If you have children, check out the water park too. Looks good! Will be back!

Stayed here with my teenage son. Booking was easy but when I booked online, I had booked a family room but when they sent the booking confirmation email it had been changed to an accessible room with only one bed. But when we arrived at the hotel the lovely reception staff changed the room to a twin to make sure there was an extra bed so my son could have his own space which was much appreciated. They also gave the information I needed as it was our first time staying at this hotel. The room was clean and tidy. But I'm rating it 4 out of 5 because there was a small issue of heating taking more than 40 minutes to warm up the chilly room and there was a random loud bang a few times. But we had a pleasant sleep. And woke in the morning to a lovely view. We went down to breakfast and the staff was polite and she explained how it all worked. There was a good food selection. We would stay here again and the beach outside is a bonus. So I do recommend this hotel.

We stayed here (19th June) for one night. The parking meter was not working, so left it until the following morning, we then ended up paying £8:50, which i felt was bit much. We were on the second floor, but unfortunately there is no lift in this hotel, so found it difficult to carry cases up the stairs. We had booked a meal deal, including evening meal, menu was limited, but normal for Brewers Fare, which is separate from Premier Inn. The decor in the Brewers was a bit dismal, with chairs having seen better days. We discovered later that this place is due to shut at the end of the season, 2026.

During a recent stay, the lifts were broken. So our pre arranged rooms were given away and our party of 3 were broken up across 2 floors (even though booked in months in advance so that we could be close together). Understandable that the ground floor were required for disabled customers, but this meant my Nan was left on the ground floor alone and didn't rest as well. The location was in a quiet part of the seafront, one of our rooms had a nice sea view (but ironically no arm chair in the room to admire) although the adjoining brewers fare was loud until early hours and the building was less updated or quiter than other more modernized premier inns around the country. The hotel was a little disappointing, but made the most of the location and distance to multiple National Trust locations. Would recommend the Travel Lodge near the pier as you would get the same experience with a lower cost, but closer to more attentive/better allergy option amenities.
