About Dinas Island Farm

Dinas Island Farm offers a peaceful base just outside Newport, ideal for exploring Pembrokeshire's dramatic coastline and the nearby Pembrokeshire Coast Path. The site itself keeps things simple and functional, with clean shower blocks, washing-up facilities, and an on-site restaurant serving meals when you don't fancy cooking. Note that dogs aren't permitted here, so it's one to skip if you're travelling with four-legged friends.

The location is the real draw: Newport's shops, pubs and restaurants are a short distance away, while the beaches and cliff-top walks that make this corner of Wales special are all within easy reach. Whether you're planning coastal hikes, golf, fishing or watersports, you'll find plenty of options nearby. It's a no-frills, well-positioned spot that does the job nicely.

Lovely hosts Neil and Lynda, extremely accommodating when we booked last minute. Views amazing. Facilities rustic, but do the job 😁 would recommend 👌 Return visit, for the views alone, never disappoints x

This is the perfect hidden gem of a place. Toilet and shower facilities are basic but clean, functional and with good hot water. There is a little shop if you forget your essentials or fancy delicious bread, cakes or barabrith home baked by Lynda. (I had to go back and buy another one…) They also sell local beef and lamb produce. We had a fantastic spot, and as we were travelling with friends, parked our motorhomes to provide a wind break. It worked really well and we woke up to the lovely view over the valley down to the beach. There are two beaches within a few minutes walk on either side of the Dina’s Head, although coming back up is steep. Lynda is really nice and accommodating and helpful. I am certain I will stay here again, even as a stopover on the way to further north. Thank you Lynda and family

I have really enjoyed my time at Dinas island farm campsite. You can get to awesome beaches via the coast path, including the ones along from Pwllgwaelod, heading towards Fishguard. You can walk to ‘seal bay’ from Strumble head lighthouse. Meet the greedy goats at CIFP (Cardigan Island Farm Park), the multi-million crabs at Cwm-yr-eglwys (you can walk to this one, as you can with Pwllgwaelod), and the dolphins possible to see at and around Dinas head. The places around here in Pembrokeshire truly ARE amazing (times 100,000), not to mention the perfect paddling spots! I can say -100 bad things about this site. Don’t forget to look out for the bats by the recycling barn at 9:00 PM! From Ollie - age 8
